Net or Nothing
On Friday night number 4 Griffin Garbut plays hard defense on the Crockett Junior Varsity team. All three teams played hard as it was their last home game of the season. JV crushed the Crocket Cougars 73-54. Garbut adds "It was nice to win the last home game, especially because we had so many people come out and support us." The team will finish out the season this week, and later in March will go to playoffs depending on the outcome of their next few games.
Jumping to the Heavens
The Junior Varsity McCallum Knights boys basketball team watch in shock as one of the Crocket opponents jumps and goes for the layup during the first half of their game Friday night. The boys played their last game with heart and got the W, beating Crocket 73-54. Asa Brown comments "It's sometimes scary to guard a layup, but its worth it because it feels so good to win in the end." The night was not only special because it was their last home game, but also because it was seniors appreciation night. Parents of senior players got recognized for their hard work.
An Ode to the Seniors
At their last home game of the season, the senior varsity boys basketball players honor their parents and recognize them for the hard work they have put in over the past four years. The Knights senior night is also special because during halftime, the school drill team Blue Brigade performs. Senior player James Sullivan adds "It's been a crazy four years playing at McCallum and being able to thank my parents for all the time they have spent up at the gym was very special." Although the team lost, it was still nice to pay tribute to their parents before they go off to college
Solid job on these images. Remind me. Did we put them on the server. The yearbook staff is in dire need of JV basketball pictures. 100
