My Favorite Cover

"When Adele walked into Theo Wenner’s photography studio to shoot her Rolling Stone cover, she was wearing a tracksuit, with unkempt hair and no makeup. 'She looked so understated and cool,' said Wenner. 'I wanted to shoot her like that.' Adele loved the idea, and the end result was a striking image of the biggest music star in the world completely unglamorized and vulnerable, yet looking more beautiful than ever. 'There's a real gravity to her,' Wenner said. 'The picture that ended up on the cover was the last frame of the whole day.'"

This portrait was my favorite because of the chill vibe too it. Adele had no makeup on, which made it different from most magazine covers. We get such a real feel from her, it's such a personal photo. The photo is taken from a side angle, which gives an up-close feel to it. The photo also has minimum light, yet Adeles cheekbones are highlight perfectly. There's very little to the photo, which makes it more special. The cover is so personal that it really makes you want to open up the book and start reading, because you feel so close to Adele. The background is very simple and nothing is too busy, which is aesthetically pleasing.
