The Four Types of Magazine Covers

Image-based magazine covers are the simplest covers. They include one or a few people on the cover. Though they are the easiest, they are also the most common type of cover so it's harder to make them different or special. They are most commonly used on fashion, travel, men, and celebrity magazines.
The next time of magazine cover is Illustration-based. These covers are mostly used to represent something funny or unique. They are not very common, so they may stand out more, yet many companies that use this type of cover are smaller, less well known brands. Text-based magazine covers are the next type of covers. They are not common, yet are more common than illustration-based covers. These covers have a special beauty in them, and can be used to present a deeper meaning or idea than the other covers. The last type of magazine cover is concept-based. These covers can be a mixing pot for all types of covers. These covers get a point across while also being humorous. These covers work best for business, weekly news, and independent magazines.
